How lame is that for a post title? But despite that, welcome to Riverside! This thread is here for introductions, announcements, etc.

We ask you to play nice - that's about it, really. And please have fun, and don't be afraid to ask questions!

I've put some Lenormand smilies in so that you can post card graphics if you want to - they're fairly simple to use. Either click on the card, or type in the number of the card with : : to either side of it. For example:

Code:

To show the Rider, type in :01:
The Clover would be :02:
The Fish would be :34:

and so on. Which will show up like this:



And may you all get some money luck from that!

In other words, all the cards that have single-digit numbers have a 0 (as in 'zero', not 'capital O') in front of them, the rest are numbered the same way they are on your deck, and you put a colon to either side of the number. If you don't know the card number, just click on the graphic in the smilie panel, and it should magically appear in your post.

Yes, we want a place that runs a little loosely, so people can relax. I don't like over-modding. Things like thread drift happen normally in the course of a conversation, it's no reason to harp on people. If we start out talking about dreams and the conversation turns to string theory, or dog food, or Leo DiCaprio, I'm okay with it. It makes for a little disorganization, but that's what the "search" function is for. If you want to find something after you've forgotten where it was,
just look, and if you still can't find it, I'll be happy to help!

Another thing, a lot of people visit forums while they are at work, or at public computers in cafes, libraries, etc. So if you think an image is a little racy for that venue, don't post the image, just post the link with a warning: "NSFW" (Not Safe For Work) so that nobody gets in trouble.

Oh, one more thing, the name "Riverside" comes from a neighborhood in the town where I grew up. It wasn't the rich part of town, but it had the most diversity and the best heart.
